Memphis Grizzlies Ja Morant was interviewed by Bleacher Report and asked the hypothetical question of what he would say to Michael Jordan if the two were in conversation.Moran...

Morant stared out saying that he would thank Jordan for having been an inspiration to many players. He also added that he would have liked to play in Jordans generation and that he would have cooked the NBA legend on the court.

“I wish I would have played in his generation,” Morant said. “ … I would like to play against him. I would’ve cooked him too. Nobody got more confidence than 12.”

This level of confidence, bordering on arrogant, is nothing new from a Memphis Grizzlies player, especially for Moran who is known for his fearless mindset.

“I’m never gonna go and say nobody’s gonna beat me at one-on-one in anything,” Morant continued. “I don’t care what it is, what sport it is. Soccer. Who’s the best player in soccer? Come on, we can play.

So, is it likely that Morant could have cooked Jordan should they have played together when the legend was at his peak? Unlikely. But commentary like this from the Grizzlies player is nothing new.
