Klay Thompson Leads Warriors in Scoring for the First Time Since 2019

After more than 2 years away following surgery and recovery, Klay Thompson now leads the Golden State Warriors in scoring.

This is the first time it has happened since the player was forced to take time off in 2019 after he tore his ACL and Achilles.

His return to the court was warmly welcomed by fans but it did not go as well as he hoped. He only scored 17 points in his season debut and the next three games, he only shot 34 percent from the field.

The last game with the Detroit Pistons was a different story. He scored 21 points and helped his team to a 16-point win. He now leads them in scoring. After the win, he spoke to reporters saying, “I don’t care if I miss 100 shots in a row, I’m never going to stop shooting the ball. I love it too much, and I work too hard not to.”

Golden State tweeted a clip showing Klay in action with the caption, Season-high 19 points (& counting) for KT.
