This was after he approved a buyout with Detroit. Jordan will now be chasing the championship from the Lakers Staples Center locker room with this deal.

They announced it today via Rob Pelinka, the General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations. They did not release the terms of the deal as per team policy.

Jordan has 13 years of experience in the NBA, making him a veteran. He had been in 57 games for the Nets last season. For this, he averaged 7.5 points with 7.5 rebounds, 1.1 blocks, and 1.6 assists within 21.9 minutes. He also shot a career-best 76.3 from the field.

As an all-time leader in the NBA when it comes to career field goal percentage, he will be a big asset for the Lakers. Throughout his career, he shot 67.4 percent from the field. Jordan is also the only one in NBA history to shoot over 70 percent from the field in multiple seasons.

He is a one-time NBA All-Star who has been in many teams, including the Nets, Mavericks, Knicks, and Clippers. He played in 932 games with all these teams, holding a career average of 9.4 points, 1.0 assists, 10.6 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks within 27.4 minutes.

Jordan has also appeared in 57 playoff games for the Los Angeles Clippers. He has an average of 9.8 points, 2.0 blocks per and 11.3 rebounds per game. As a veteran, he has many achievements to his name that make him a great addition to the Lakers team.
