NBA fans were disgusted after the shocking defeat of the USA Men’s Basketball Team at the Tokyo Olympics.
It was the first-ever Olympic match in 17 years where they lost, breaking the 24-game winning streak they had. But what disgusted the fans the most is the fact the tired Jrue Holiday was the one to score the most.
Kevin Durant and company started their 2021 Olympic match on Sunday against the French National Team. The team comprised mostly of NBA superstars, which made them the most favored team to win every game. However, France defeated the defending Olympic champions in a score of 83-76.
Evan Fournier stood out for his team by dropping 28 crucial points. But unexpectedly, it was Jrue Holiday that was the best player on the American side of the court. He made an incredible performance for someone who just got off an NBA win, partied with the championship parade at Milwaukees, and flew on a 15-hour flight to Tokyo.
After seeing this, NBA fans cannot help but troll Team USA. The best player in their disappointing loss is Jrue Holiday - to think its the most tired player who only just arrived. The Bucks guard had a spectacular night where he scored 18 points, four assists, and 27:52 minutes.
Meanwhile, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, and Damian Lillard were inefficient that night. The three only shot a combined 10-18 from the field. Fans could not believe that a tragic and history loss Team USA made. For which they lauded Jrues efforts while mocked the rest of the team.
