However, the team can still get better with LeBron always holding on to his instincts. Moreover, the Lakers organization can go for it with the addition of a third superstar. Rumor has it that Russell Westbrook and the Washington Wizards are at a momentum.
A third star to Lakers is a big advantage, and Westbrook isnt a bad choice. Westbrook is just coming off another year with a triple-double average. He would be an ideal fit with LeBron James and Anthony Davis. With him, LeBron can have fewer playmaking duties and focus more on attacking.
LeBron is an aggressive player, while Westbrook was one of the best passers in the league, with 11.8 assists per game just last season. He can also give the Lakers offense a different look if he ends up in the team. The Lakers are average in playing fast, but with Westbrook’s fast-paced players, that could change.
If the Lakers can have a faster offense, the shooters can have more open looks. They can also have better driving lanes for James and post looks for Davis. Westbrook isn’t the best shooter, so he could hurt the floor spacing of the Lakers. But LeBron and Anthony can make up for it, allowing them to play more inside.
