The Bucks pulled it back to 2-1 in the series with a 120-100 win over the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.
Booker only managed 10 points in Game 3, shooting at 21.4 per cent, managing only one from seven attempts from beyond the arc.
The two sides meet again in Milwaukee on Wednesday for Game 4, which looms as critical.
“He’s a great player, but he’s human also,” Budenholzer said about Booker who scored 27 and 31 points in Games 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals.
“I think we’re expecting we’re going to have to be even better on him. We just got to be prepared for a really good Devin Booker going into Game 4.”
On his side’s Game 3 defense, Budenholzer added: “I wouldn’t say there was one specific thing or anything we did different.
“Obviously, there’s subtle little things that we’re trying to do.”
Booker will be well supported by Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton in Game 4, neither who managed more than 20 points in Game 3.
“Short memory, just move on,” Booker said when asked his shooting display.
