The Milwaukee Bucks star hyperextended his left knee back in the game and has since been on the bench for Game 5 and 6 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Atlanta Hawks.
Since he left Game 4, his return for the rest of the series remained doubtful. But even though he wasn’t there for the teams latest match, the Bucks defeated the Hawks. Now, the team is moving on to Game 6 on Saturday, but Antetokounmpo is still doubtful for the game.
However, the Bucks recently shared a bit of good news that the basketball superstar may have the green light to come back if Game 7 is needed. Antetokounmpo suffered a hyperextended left knee, but it is was fortunate that it did not have structural damage.
His ligaments were still intact, so recovery might not take too long. The Bucks player sustained the injury after blocking Clint Capelas alley-oop attempt on Game 4. He landed hard on his left leg, thus injuring his knee. He was down a few moments and had to sit for a while. However, he was eventually ruled out for the rest.
The Bucks is at a good place right now as they’re up 3-2 when they won in Game 5 123-112, even without Antetokounmpo. However, the close-out game against Atlanta is not going to be easy. They will need all the help they can get, and Antetokounmpo back on the team may be it.
