The Phoenix Suns just made their first trip back to the NBA Finals since 1993 after beating the Los Angeles Clippers.

They won 130-103 against the Clippers on Game 6 of the Western Conference finals, Wednesday night, at Staples Center. Chris Paul led the Suns with 41 points, 31 of them in the second half. He also dished out 8 assists while Devin Booker made 22 points and 7 rebounds.

It was tough for the Suns as Cam Johnson, one of their top players, was down with an illness (non-COVID-related).

Nevertheless, the team made excellent play besides Paul and Bookers impressive scores as Jae Crowder and Deandre Ayton also delivered their best performances. Crowder scored 19 points while Ayton made 16 points as well as 17 rebounds the entire game.

Now that theyre officially bound for finals, Phoenix is on the sidelines waiting for the winner between Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference finals. The Hawks is missing Trae Young, tying up the match with the Bucks 2-2 on Tuesday with Giannis Antetokounmpo seen leaving because of a hyperextended knee. Both Young and Antetokounmpo are doubtful to be in Game 5 on Thursday.

If the Bucks vs. Hawks game wraps within six games, the team that wins will head to Finals on July 6. But if they needed a Game 7, then Finals will start on July 8 for Game 1. But no matter which team the Suns will face in the Finals, the Suns will enjoy home-court advantage thanks to their better regular-season record. On the other hand, the Clippers now enter an uncertain off-season.
