Young had an MRI on Monday to check how severe the injury is, the results leading to his questionable status for Game 4.

According to Atlanta Hawks announcement, Young’s right foot sustained a bone bruise. This was unfortunate for the Hawks as the athlete is one of its best players, this postseasons breakout star. But now, hes not only popular for his play but for having the playoffs strangest injury.

During Game 3, Young was along the sideline trying to throw a pass that Jrue Holiday ended up deflecting. When he turned to try running back on defense, he accidentally stepped on the foot of the referee. In the process, he sprained his ankle and was benched until they stopped the game.

The medical staff attended to him and after a short evaluation, diagnosed him with only an ankle sprain. He then returned early during the fourth quarter, relieved that it wasn’t serious. But after the game, he complained of a sore and hurting ankle, ultimately getting diagnosed with a bone bruise.

Young said he still wants to be in Game 4 and so plans to get as much treatment as possible before the game on Tuesday night. He is on questionable status, but Game 4 is crucial against Milwaukee, so the Hawks may not sit him out. He has been leading the Hawks throughout the playoffs that sitting him out is a big loss.
