The LA Clippers’ four-time All-Star player Demarcus Cousins had signed up for two 10-day contracts for the remainder of the season, as the Clippers had announced on Monday. He will be with the team since April 5 for two 10-day contracts.

His current record has an average of 6.3 points, 1.3 assists, and 4.5 rebounds in the first eight games of the Clippers this season. Even if he has major struggles with injuries since 2018, his career still has an average of 20.6 points, 3.2 assists, and 10.6 rebounds.

He also made a total of 25 appearances for the Los Angeles Clippers. However, with the Clippers aimed to build Christian Wood as their center, ESPN reported that Cousins is not happy with his role as a backup center and wanted to get more playing time, which was mutually agreed by Cousins and the team to his release.

Once Serge Ibaka returns from his back injury, Cousins’ role to the Clippers will soon be diminished. On the brighter side, he might have a chance to compete for a title, and hopefully, Cousins will be successful in helping the Clippers move forward.

With all the injuries incurred in one season for the Clippers, this may mean the possibility of performing limitedly, especially with their loss of Ibaka, as his comeback might be questionable. It would be logical for the Clippers to keep Cousins with them for the meantime until they can find someone who can fill in Ibaka and Cousin’s shoes.
