But the LA Clippers and Denver Nuggets seem to be gaining momentum as their lineups remain strong. They are the Lakers strong contender in the Western Conference. On the Eastern Conference, Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers are also vying for the championship runs. Lets take a peek at the NBA Power Rankings for the 2020 2021 Season.

1. Brooklyn Nets

With Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant teaming up, Brooklyn Nets have been hitting it big time. They have won 19 out of 21 games. This includes victories over strong contenders, such as Lakers, Clippers, Phoenix Suns, and Boston Celtics. As James Harden continues to play at the MVP level, the Nets currently sits as the most recent NBA power rankings.

2. Philadelphia 76ers

Currently boasting the best record in the Eastern Conference, Philadelphia 76ers is a team to look out for. As their new general manager comes over, the decision to pair Ben Simmons with Seth Curry and Danny Green was a great move.

3. Milwaukee Bucks

As Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to play at the MVP level, Milwaukee Bucks have been consistently keeping up their records throughout 47 games. Boasting a 30-17 record, they are running third in the Eastern Conference.

4. Denver Nuggets

Hailed as the legit NBA title contenders this season, Denver Nuggets managed to up their game. As Nikola Jokic continues to play at an MVP level, the acquisition of Aaron Gordon and JaVale McGee is helping the team maintain their strong record.

5. Los Angeles Lakers

Although the LA Lakers have been a strong contender for the NBA title this season, the injuries of their core players seem to have dropped their numbers. With an Achilles injury for Anthony Davis and a high-ankle sprain for LeBron James, they recently loss to Washington Wizards and Sacramento Kings dropping their rankings.
