It was a close game, which in one sense could give heart to the Atlanta Dream, and in another sense be a heart breaker, as they were so close to the win, even ahead at one point in the fourth quarter, before going under finally by four points.

For the Indiana Fever, Tan White scored 24 points, and Tamika Catchings put in 20 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.

For the Atlanta Dream, Betty Lennox led the Dream with 19 points. Tammy Sutton-Brown put in 15 points.

The WNBA season is winding down, with the last regular-season games being held on September 14, and playoff positions are being formed. The Dream of course are at 3-29 at the moment, with no chance of a playoff birth.

The Fever, however, are at 15-16 and might be able to slide in to the 4th spot in the playoffs if they keep winning and get a little help from other teams.
