It was a much different Game 2 performance for the Portland Trail Blazers. They came out in the lead during the first half of the game, but seemed to struggle keeping that lead, giving away their opportunity to the Golden State Warriors to land their second victory in the Western Conference Finals.
Portland Trail Blazers Better Plays, Better Defense
You wouldn’t have recognized the team that played against the Golden State Warriors this morning. It was a far different Trail Blazers compared to Game 1. This time, they had better defense, great clutch shooting, and solid performances. Their lineup also improved and gave GSW a run for their money. During the first half, Portland got solid contributions from Aminu, Harkless, Hood and Seth Curry.
However, the GSW spirit simply cannot be quenched. Like the first game, the Warriors stormed from a 17-point deficit in the second half to come out victorious with a 114-111 win. This was a far cry from Game 1 as the Trail Blazers finished with only 94 to that of GSW’s 116.
The Trail Blazers would’ve tied the game if not for Andre Iguodala who snatched the ball from Damian Lillard.
