Catcher's Interference

Interferences are illegal alterations in game play usually committed by the team on the office, spectators, umpires, catchers, or players not in the current game. A catcher’s interference occurs when the catcher prevents a batter from hitting a pitched ball. For this offense to be called out, the batter’s feet must both be within the box and must be in the proper batting position. The other team’s manager will decide if they will accept or decline the interference.
