There can be several terms for different bases in most sports, and in baseball, stations or bases are most commonly referred to as bags. These are the four bases or plates that make up the playing field. Players get to run around these bags, and a hitter can only have a home run after touching all the four bags. Thus, a two-base hit can be referred to as a two-bagger, and a three-base hit a three-bagger.
