Carlos Enrique Nolasco, also known as Ricky, is a starting pitcher from the United States of America. Nolasco is a graduate of the Rialto High School and straight out of high school, he was picked in the 4th round of the 2001 MLB Amateur Draft by the Chicago Cubs.

After 4 seasons in the minor league structure of the Cubs, Nolasco was traded out to the Florida Marlins along with Renyel Pinto and Sergio Mitre, in exchange for Juan Pierre in 2005.

With the Marlins, Nolasco spent the next two seasons in the AA-Division and the AAA-Division before breaking into the MLB roster for the 2008 season. As a middle reliever, Nolasco began his MLB career and soon climbed his way into the top of the rotation.

His 15 wins put him in the top-5 for the National League standings in 2008.
