Danny Richar
Danny Adam Richar is a professional baseball player from the Dominican Republic and plays as a second baseman. In 2001, the Arizona Diamondbacks signed up Richar as a free agent and after playing in the rookie leagues, he joined the Lancaster JetHawks in the 2003 season. Playing in the A-League, he stayed with the team until 2005 and also played for the El Paso Diablos in the 2004 season. In 2005, he hit 20 home runs to score his best-ever in the minor leagues.
In 2007, the Arizona Diamondbacks decided to trade Danny Richar to the Chicago White Sox in exchange for Aaron Cunningham. Richar had an amazing .346 batting average in 32 games with 5 home runs, playing for the Charlotte Knights in the AAA-League. He was pulled up into the MLB roster once Tadahito Iguchi was traded out to the Philadelphia Phillies. In mid-2008, Richar was traded to the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for Ken Griffey Jr.
