James Avery

James Avery is a professional baseball player from Canada and plays as a pitcher. The right handed pitcher joined the Cincinnati Reds with a minor league contract and was also picked to represent Canada at the 2008 Summer Olympics at Beijing.

In 2005, Avery was picked in the fifth round of the 2005 MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds.

Playing through their minor league system, Avery picked up the FSL Pitcher of the Week award twice, In July and September of 2006 and then in May 2007, he won the SOU Pitcher of the Week award as well.
