Richard Fultz is a professional baseball relief pitcher and hails from the United States of America. Fultz was picked in the sixth round of the 1992 MLB Draft by the San Francisco Giants. He was plugged into the minor league system and went onto play for the MLB team in 2000. Fultz was part of the roster for three seasons where he played 167 games and had a 10-5 record in 181.2 innings pitched. In 2003, he signed for the Texas Rangers but his win-loss record fell to 1-3 and his ERA rose above 5.0.

The following year, he joined the Minnesota Twins and had a 3-3 record but was still struggling with a high ERA. In 2005, Fultz finally managed to settle down into a comfortable role as a specialist for the Philadelphia Phillies and had a 4-0 record with a great ERA of 2.24. This led to the Phillies signing him on for another season.

After another decent season with the Phillies, Fultz moved onto the Cleveland Indians where he signed on for 2007 with an option to extend his association into 2008. He played 49 games as their relief specialist pitcher and had a 4-3 record with a 2.92 ERA. The Indians decided to pick him up for another season but he performed badly in the spring training and that meant that he was to be designated for assignment in March of that year. The Cleveland Indians released Fultz 4-days later.

The very next day, the Detroit Tigers signed a minor league contract with Fultz but after not receiving a call up to the Major League roster, requested for a release. In May 2008, he signed with the Colorado Rockies in another Minor League contract but a month later, was released.

He took a step down thereafter, signing with the Somerset Patriots in the Independent Atlantic League. After a poor performance, he decided to head east and signed up with the Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions in Taiwan's Chinese Professional Baseball League. He was back to the USA in 3 months time and signed a minor league contract with the Cincinnati Reds.
