Randy David Wells is a professional baseball pitcher who plays in the Major League of Baseball in the United States of America. A member of the farm system at the Chicago Cubs, Wells began playing in the minor leagues for the Cubs in 2003. Just before the 2008 season, the Toronto Blue Jays brought him in on a Rule 5 Draft and played a single game against the Boston Red Sox. He was subsequently returned to the Cubs in 2008 and was sent to play in the AAA-Iowa league where he represented the Cubs in their minor league setup. In a 60-day injury layoff for Jon Leiber, Wells was called into the roster.
