Richard Hill
Richard Joseph Hill, or "Rich", is a professional baseball played from the USA, who is a left-handed starting pitcher. Hill was a part of the Milton High School baseball team as a freshman becoming only the fourth player to do so in the history of Milton. In 1999, he was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds however Hill decided to continue onto college. From the University of Michigan, Hill was picked in the 4th round of the 2004 Amateur Draft, by the Chicago Cubs.
In the minor leagues, Hill developed a wonderful curveball that helped him notch up high strikeout numbers. He got a call up to the Major League in 2005 when he played on the Cubs' roster with 0-2 season ending figures. He spent most of his time shuttling between the minors and the majors. A starting pitcher with the AAA-Iowa Cubs, Hill was one of the oldest members of the Cubs' starting pitchers rotation in 2006, until Wade Miller joined the bunch.
