Early Life and High School
Growing up in Markham, Illinois, Cliff showcased his athletic prowess at Thornwood High School, where he excelled in multiple sports, including baseball, football, and basketball. His impressive skills on the baseball diamond caught the attention of scouts, leading to his selection in the first round of the 1991 amateur draft by the Montreal Expos.Minor and Major Leagues
Floyd quickly transitioned from the minor leagues to the big leagues, making his MLB debut on September 18, 1993.
