Career
He started high school with Temescal Canyon High School before transferring to Santiago High School in his hometown of Corona, California. He was drafted into the MLB out of high school by the Baltimore Orioles during the 2013 MLB Amateur Draft. He was slated to attend the University of Oregon but he decided to sign with the Orioles instead.
He debuted as a professional player on the Oriole’s affiliate minor leagues teams. Some of the teams he has played for include the Gulf Coast Orioles, the Aberdeen IronBirds, and the Delmarva Shorebirds.
He also played for the Frederick Keys and the Bowie Baysox. He played in the Arizona Fall League for the Norfolk Tides.
He was promoted to lay in the Majors on September 1, 2017, by the Orioles. It was in a game against the Toronto Blue Jays. In 2018, he was on the team’s Opening Day roster. He was later optioned to Norfolk. In 2019, he appeared in 59 games for the Orioles. In 2021, he was marked as Designated for Assignment.
In June 2021, the New York Mets claimed him off waivers. He elected free agency in September after the Mets marked him as Designated for Assignment.
