Stevie Wilkerson is a professional baseball player from the United States of America. He plays in Major League Baseball for the Baltimore Orioles. As of 2022, he is a free agent. Wilkerson is noted for being the first in MLB history to record a save as a position player. He did so in 2019.

Career
He attended Alan C Pope High School in Georgia when he played both baseball and football. In 2010, he was drafted into the MLB by the Boston Red Sox but he instead chose to commit to playing for Clemson University. He ended up completing a degree in communication.
While in college, he also played in the Cape Cod Baseball League for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks.
In his senior year, he was drafted into the MLB again, this time by the Baltimore Orioles. He spent some time in the Orioles’ minor league associated teams. Some of the teams he played for include the Aberdeen IronBirds, the Delmarva Shorebirds, the Frederick Keys, and the Bowie Baysox. He also played in the Arizona Fall League.
He was suspended in December 2017 for 50 games after he tested positive for the use of amphetamines. When his suspension was over, he was assigned by the Orioles to play for the Norfolk Tides.
In June 2018, he was called to play in the majors. He debuted in June. In 2019, the team listed him as Designated for Assignment in order to make room for Pedro Severino. In July 2019, he became the first in MLB history to record a save as a position player. This was in a game against the Los Angeles Angels.
In January 2020, he was outrighted and released in September of that year. A month later, the Orioles re-signed him and they added him to their 40-man roster on June 2021. The Orioles released him again on August 17, 2021. He now serves as a free agent.
