Career
Reyes began his baseball journey as an undrafted free agent, signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1993 and navigating through their minor league system. He made his major league debut on July 13, 1997, at just 20 years old, becoming the second youngest player in the league. During his initial seasons with the Dodgers, he logged a record of 2-7 over 25 games, including eight starts. His career took a turn when he was traded to the Cincinnati Reds on July 4, 1998, alongside Paul Konerko, where he would spend three and a half seasons and pitch in 170 games.Over the years, Reyes showcased his pitching skills with various teams, including the Colorado Rockies, Texas Rangers, Pittsburgh Pirates, Arizona Diamondbacks, Kansas City Royals, and the San Diego Padres. Particularly noteworthy was his tenure with the Royals, where he achieved career highs in games started, innings pitched, and strikeouts.
In 2006, he signed with the Twins and enjoyed a standout season, finishing with a 5-0 record and an impressive 0.89 ERA. However, while his performance dipped in the following seasons, he remained a crucial asset in the Twins' bullpen.
