Brian Bass
Born on January 6, 1982, in Pinehurst, North Carolina, Brian Bass is a talented pitcher who has made his mark in Major League Baseball. Standing at 6' 2" and weighing 215 pounds, he brings a strong presence to the mound, equipped with a right-handed throwing arm and batting style.
Career
Bass’s journey to the big leagues began when he was selected by the Kansas City Royals in the 2000 MLB Draft, landing in the sixth round as the 164th overall pick. His professional career kicked off in the Rookie League with the Gulf Coast Royals. He quickly progressed through the ranks, playing for the Single-A teams like the Burlington Bees and the Wilmington Blue Rocks, where he was recognized as one of the Royals' top prospects, ranked eighth by Baseball America in 2003.In 2006, Bass further honed his skills with a split season among the Arizona Royals, Wichita Wranglers, and the Omaha Royals. After becoming a minor league free agent, he signed with the Minnesota Twins for the 2007 season, spending the year with the AAA Rochester Red Wings. His performance earned him a major league contract, and he made his big league debut on April 1, 2008, facing the formidable Los Angeles Angels.
Following a stint in the minors, Bass was traded to the Baltimore Orioles in September 2008, continuing his career as a relief pitcher.
