In front of a Texas Rangers crowd that booed him all the way, Alex Rodriguez decided to let his bat do the talking as he drove four-runs towards leading the Yankees into an 11-1 win over the Texas Rangers. This was the first time A-Rod had come to Texas ever since he admitted to taking steroids as a Rangers player between 2001-03.
Along with A-Rod, it was Phil Hughes’ night as well as he threw 8-shutout innings for the Yankees, giving away just three-hits and one walk.

Justin Verlander helped the pitching front giving away just 5 hits in seven innings without a run. In their last 31 outings, the Tigers have won 23 games at the Kauffman stadium and are looking extremely good.

It was Travis Bucks’ night as the Oakland Athletics won 6-1 against the Seattle Mariners with Buck hitting one out of the park and then scoring three runs.
